There's A Sweet New Bakery Pop Up In Narragansett On The Weekends

Gansett is so peaceful this time of year, whether you’re zipping over for the day or fully committing to a fall getaway and booking something via Airbnb or at the terrific Break hotel (fyi they have a HEATED salt water pool out back).

If you’re looking to add a food related adventure to your next Saturday or Sunday in that neck of the woods (you can always take your goodies along later when you walk the Sea Wall, a pretty popular spot for unwinding, and gawk at the surfers), I just stumbled on Carolena’s Bakery which has been popping up every weekend at the Gansett Poke storefront in Bonnet Shores since March 2021.

As someone who grew up with a food pyramid built on a foundation of Italian bread (and pasta), gotta say that it’s so nice to see another micro bakery in the area where one can load up on loaves, sweets (people ADORE their dessert sampler boxes), and even some stromboli.

Also, they have gluten free options for my friends who are eat GF.

And if you’re someone who lives in the vicinity (LUCKY), you should know that Carolena’s is indeed taking online orders for Thanksgiving pies this year, too.
