We Had Lunch At This Wonderful Restaurant In Wakefield, Rhode Island
My 2nd time at Auntie’s Kitchen in Wakefield for yet another terrific lunch this past weekend.
Next time you’re in the area, you’ll want to seek out this tiny, charming eatery — located just off Main on Robinson Street — where you’ll find some of the most delicious casual (and vegetarian) eats in the South Kingstown area.
Frankly, if I lived a little closer, I’d be there at least once a week for breakfast or an afternoon meal. (Love that it’s pretty much “home cooking” caliber as far as taste, freshness, and ingredients.)
Not a lot of bells and whistles or selfie walls at this cozy, little indie spot, but (most importantly) the food is scrumptious.
I’ve had their Buddha Bowl, the meatless chili, fresh-baked-on-site scones (I inhaled a blueberry one the other day and yummmm), and their egg sandwich, and everything has been tippity top shelf.
They also have these amazing daily specials (from soups and salads to pizza, tartes, and pastries) as well as a full menu of coffee drinks and teas.
It’s the kind of restaurant where you’re greeted right away and the food is so tasty that you devour it all before the notion of taking photos or video to share with your friends occurs to you.
You can even order online from your phone, which is, of course, super convenient.
