A Deli With Delicious Sandwiches That Overlooks The Newport Bridge
A Forever Favorite
If you’re my friend over on IG, you already know I’m a super fan of the sandwiches at Shayna’s in Wickford and Garden Hills Deli in Cranston. If you’re looking for a 3rd option this Spring, I have a real doozy and I mean THAT in the best possible way.
Need another reason to zip over to Jamestown? The East Ferry Deli on Conanicus Avenue — which is technically considered “downtown” Jamestown — for some breakfast or lunch. Been a fan since stumbling on them about ten or twelve years ago.
Their Sandwiches Are Ginormous.
The views of the Newport Bridge, the Bay and various boats large and small are truly incredible, and once you get your order, you can take it over to the benches closer to the water and really soak in the lovely water front surroundings.

The locals have been known to rave about the coffee and bagels or muffins for am eating but I usually go for the sandwiches. They are delectable, enormous (anyone looking for big portions won’t be disappointed), and first rate!
Recently I had the Greek Wrap, which is essentially a handheld greek salad, very tasty and of course, meat free. (Pssst…do NOT fret if you’re a carnivore because there are plenty of options on their menu for ya!) The hubs had a tuna with swiss on wheat and devoured it happily.
