We Tried This New Restaurant In Bonnet Shores And It Was Wonderful
I’m old enough to remember when Narragansett was strictly a summertime resort town.
Fast forward to yesterday and we were trying out a brand new restaurant that opened in Bonnet Shores this past June. (More year-round residents means you need more dining options beyond coffee hops and clam cakes and chowder windows, amirite?)
I’ve actually been trying to get there for a few weeks; the weather unfortunately was not cooperating.
As you already know, Sunday was so darn mild (and dare I say summer like) that it made for the ideal day to plant ourselves out on the back deck at The Coastal Cabin on Boston Neck Road.
They do of course have indoor. We, however, are back to out-of-doors dining.
I honestly didn’t know what to expect, but we were treated to some of the best service in recent memory and our food was delectable! (See photos below for a look at my salmon, fried egg, mashed avo, tomato, and pickled onions on an everything bagel with a side of fresh fruit and their twist on brunch or brekkie potatoes.)
They also have a meatless burger (applause, applause) and their cocktail menu did sound intriguing.
In addition, gotta ❤️adore the cabin theme.
First of all, it’s a little different.
Second, and equally as important, if (like me) you don’t have a 2nd home in Vermont, Maine, or New Hampshire that you can check in from online this fall (helloooo, cabincore…yes, that’s a thing), you can IG Story or TikTok from the cozy and Rhody rustic Coastal Cabin in Gansett to your heart’s content.
Extra bonus points if it’s art directed and features one of their autumnal beverages. (I dropped the ball above because I am only drinking a cuppa coffee.)
Full Disclosure — they are not open on Mondays, so definitely motor on over to their site or social to see their hours and full menu.
And as always, if you find yourself having lunch or din din at The CC, please let them know you heard about it via Patty J and PattyJ.com.
